Once you speak another language, or two or five, it is easy to reflect on how it impacted your career, your life. It makes for wonderful stories and can prove immensely encouraging to someone new to language study.
But let's change that up a bit. Let's let our currents students speak, and let them tell you why they decided to study a foreign language in the first place. Hear about their backgrounds, the choices they made, and the plans they have.
Today is #GivingTuesday. We give our students the tools they need succeed in our global economy. We give them unique career opportunities. We give them the key to understanding foreign cultures. Foreign music. New friendships. New destinations. A better life.
On #GivingTuesday, help us give.
Among our major goals in raising funds is to make higher education more accessible. Toward that end, we are using our seed funding from the College to help students make the choice to study a foreign language and learn about a new culture. We think of this as a double dose of economic empowerment: making higher education reachable for more talented students and raising their chances of richer lives and careers with foreign-language skills and multi-cultural experience. Your contribution will help us grow and sustain this kind of support. Thank you for your contribution. Any amount, large or small, is greatly appreciated.
