BOSSGIRLS KU

We are a co-founded women initiative organization focused on growing strong, powerful

women who will  become the future leaders of the world. Through a variety of social, professional and personal growth events, we aim to refine and enhance our members’ leadership and networking skills. There are so many extraordinary women at the University of Kansas who are passionate in a variety of of different disciplines, and we thought it was time they all got together.

BOSSGIRLS KU focuses on women being future leaders in any field of study! While there are many organizations on campus for women in their respective major, we wanted to create an organization that could impact all women. BOSSGIRLS KU bridges these pre-existing organizations together, allowing women to network in a bigger way! Our main mission for the organization is to teach our members about the importance of networking and to grow strong leadership skills. Focusing on networking, we are adamant about the importance of connecting with both fellow colleagues and professionals. Through a variety of social and professional events, we are teaching our members valuable life skills and lessons and preparing them for a successful life.

Hosting an average of three social events per semester, social events aim to form meaningful interactions and friendships among members. Post graduation, one’s path can be uncertain, and we believe that building more personal relationships during college will be nothing but beneficial later on in life.

Professional events are a staple in providing our members with motivation, access to recruiters, connections to key influencers, and most importantly, network expansion. It is not everyday that one has an opportunity to connect with key influencers and professionals. Our professional events essentially double as networking events, granting our members the opportunity to meet with the successful women in the greater KC area, while also implementing valuable experiences and lessons.

Lastly, BOSSGIRLS KU aims to grow strong females in every aspect. A big part of creating powerful, confident women is to ensure they are setting aside time from themselves to work on personal growth. With scattered pop-up personal growth events sprinkled throughout the semester, these events give our members a chance to unwind from the stress of the week and focus solely on themselves. With interactive events such as yoga or self defense, we provide our members with a unique experience, growing their confidence and inner strength.
