Thanks to the JayDoc Free Health Clinic, high-quality health care is accessible right here for the Kansas City metro community.
The JayDoc team, staffed entirely by volunteers, has served approximately 2,000 patients every year since it opened in 2003. The clinic is run by medical students at the KU School of Medicine, and provides urgent and preventative care to uninsured and underinsured populations of the Kansas City area.
Funding is essential to allow us to continue to provide this service. As we look towards a promising future, we ask that you consider supporting our mission by making a gift today. $25 *provides a variety of screening tools and lab values for patient evaluation, which includes an HbA1C to monitor blood glucose in diabetics, two HIV screenings, a Complete Blood Count (CBC), or a Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP).
$50 *can complete a full prenatal lab for obstetrical patients seen at JayDoc.
$100 *covers the cost of a clinic visit, and diabetes and cholesterol screening tests *supplies one vial of insulin to a patient *covers the cost of a comprehensive women’s health screening *covers the cost of 5 pap smears, 10 HIV tests, 50 doses of point of care antibiotics, or 10 doses of steroid injections
$250 *covers the cost of 1 month of diabetic screening materials *supplies an individual with insulin for approximately 1 month *supplies a quarter of the clinic’s rapid testing materials. *covers the cost of an EpiPen set *supplies 5 doses of various vaccinations *provides the clinic with a 6 month supply of diabetes testing materials
$500 *covers the cost of point of care resources/month *covers the annual cost of medical consumables - bandages, tubes, BP cuffs, needles *covers the annual cost of influenza vaccinations
$1000 *supplies JayDoc with essential preventative vaccinations (Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis) *covers 25% of additional point of care services
