Support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the KU Medical Center

This campaign has concluded, but if you would like to still make a gift to support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the KU Medical Center, please click here.

The Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is seeking to raise funds to support student scholarships and overall programming for diversity, equity and inclusion. As our nation becomes increasingly diverse, the need for a more diverse healthcare workforce is essential to reflect the populations served. The cost of higher education has substantially increased, and it has become difficult for historically underrepresented students to meet the financial requirements. To address this inequity for students who could not otherwise afford higher education, scholarship opportunities are critical.

In addition to diverse healthcare workforce, education and training is paramount to bring awareness, foster understanding and application, as well as unity. KU Medical Center strives to demonstrate value for all individuals by cultivating a learning and working environment where employees, learners, patients, and community partners feel respected, valued and heard. We acknowledge the importance of educational opportunities and empowering individual growth, as well as fair opportunities at health. The requires sustained programming to promote diverse, equitable and inclusive learning and working environments and healthy communities.
