The Masonic Cancer Alliance (MCA), the outreach network of The University of Kansas Cancer Center, is striving to increase colorectal cancer screenings across Kansas and western Missouri. Colorectal cancer is the second most common cause of cancer related deaths in Kansas. Through regular screening, beginning at the recommended age of 45, 60% of those deaths could be prevented.
.
The MCA hosts outreach events to increase cancer screenings across the region. During the events, we educate the community about benefits of colorectal cancer screening options and provide take-home fecal immunochemical testing (FIT) kits for colorectal cancer screenings.
.
Please consider helping us purchase these FIT kits so that more people can be screened for colorectal cancer! The FIT kits are an inexpensive home health test that can lead to early detection, early intervention, and lives saved. Just $20 provides FIT kits for two people.
.
Your gift to provide these at-home screening kits could help aid in colorectal cancer detection and prevention!
