School of Pharmacy

Educating the next generation of pharmacy practitioners and researchers. Developing innovative technologies and pharmaceuticals that result in better treatments and cures. Improving overall health by advancing patient-centered care. This is the important work we’re doing at the KU School of Pharmacy. And it’s making a difference by enhancing the quality of life for people near and far.

Your support helps us strengthen our research and educational programs and expand opportunities for students. Our goals are:

  • To increase support for professorships to attract and retain top scholars. Four of our most dedicated faculty members — Dr. Ron Borchardt, Dr. Harold Godwin, Dr. Gary Grunewald and Dr. Val Stella, whose work at KU spans a cumulative 180+ years — have either retired or are nearing retirement.
  • To attract and retain students of the highest caliber through increased support for scholarships and graduate fellowships. According to a recent AACP survey, KU Pharmacy students graduate with 37 percent less debt than students at other pharmacy schools. We are proud of that accomplishment and hope to build on it.
  • To prepare leaders for Kansas and beyond, by supporting experiential learning opportunities such as immunization clinics, public awareness campaigns, road trips to independent pharmacies and other initiatives that allow students to hone their skills in real-world settings.

Every gift makes a meaningful impact. Thank you for your support on #GivingKUDay.
