Shape the Future of Teaching: CTE Friends of Teaching Excellence

KU has always valued teaching, but good teaching is becoming both more challenging and more important. Our students are more diverse, expectations for a college degree are always changing, and societal and workplace are growing more complex.

For 25 years, CTE has led the university's efforts to innovate teaching and enrich student learning. For most of that time, we have done that on a shoestring budget. To expand our efforts, we see an opportunity to create a dedicated source of funding from outside the university budget.

We would use that fund to support innovative faculty in becoming the next generation of teaching leaders, to create new types of learning experiences and help move the university into the future.

These projects would create transformative student learning experiences and support teaching excellence and leadership throughout the university.
