Thank You for Five Years in Eudora... and many more to come!

The Eudora Times is an award-winning online newspaper that has KU journalism students covering stories in Eudora, Kansas. This unique university-community partnership began in 2019 and is recognized around the nation as a leader in helping solve the news desert crisis.

Approximately 40 KU students have completed work in Eudora during the past five years. We started just running a few stories a week. Now we aim to fill our newsletter with at least nine pieces of content a week. We started by being open 30 weeks a year. Now we’re open 47 weeks a year. We started with just two reporters. Now we have a staff that averages from four to seven each semester, including a full-time reporter. We started with nickels and dimes. We’ve since given out over $90,000 to support new journalists with their real-life education. We were a newly-established newspaper in the state...

We’ve since won over 70 awards for our work as an official newspaper in the Kansas Press Association.

We rely on donations to keep the newspaper going to serve this community and provide KU students with real reporting experience. We know the difference the newspaper has made on this community and how it has inspired our alumni to continue in community journalism after graduation. We need your help for this opportunity to live on.
