In spring 2017, Kansas University's students of the Hindi-language program participated in their first Yale Hindi Debate. The small and powerful group proudly took first place in one category, namely one that invites non-native speakers of Hindi. This annual Debate, now more than a decade old, boasts participants from such esteemed institutions as Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Cornell, University of California Los Angeles, Wesleyan, Purdue, Rutgers, the University of Texas at Austin, Wellesley College, and now Kansas University.
This year, we invite you to help raise $3,000, which will allow two students to participate in the upcoming Yale Hindi Debate in New Haven, CT. This amount will cover travel and accommodation expenses, as well as a modest per diem for their Hindi Instructor who will accompany them to the event. All donations are fully tax-deductible.
