Thank you so much for your generous donation to the Dedication to Social Justice and Liberation Award (SJL), established in the Educational Psychology (EPSY) Department at the University of Kansas. We truly appreciate your commitment to supporting our graduate students who strive to seek, find, and forge the advancement of social justice and liberation.

With your help, we have exceeded our goal of $5,000! This will allow us to offer an annual award (for the next 10 years) to EPSY graduate students who demonstrate commitment to social justice and liberation through research and scholarship, practice, teaching, advocacy, activism, policy or professional service/leadership.

So, what’s next? Our student-led committee is working to formalize the award administration process. This includes a submission webpage showcasing future award recipients, a link for donations and further activities. Lastly, we are proud to announce that the first recipient of the SJL Award will be declared at this year’s Lichtenberg Lecture Series, on April 16^th. Be on the  lookout for more related news!
