School of Business

Support the School of Business.

Your support strengthens the Jayhawk legacy!

Fall is always an exciting time as we welcome our new class of future business leaders and connect with returning students. Our faculty and staff remain dedicated to providing the support students need to navigate their educational experiences at the University of Kansas.

Our mission of preparing students to be leaders who positively contribute to business and society guides everything we do. We work collectively to provide our students with a community that fosters enriching educational experiences, professional preparation, personal development and unrivaled employment outcomes. Recent examples of this work include:

  • The development of our new Professionalism Program (ePlatform). This series of six courses focused on career excellence and the accompanying portfolio of documented, outside-of-course professional development activities will prepare our undergraduate students with skills, experiences and certifications highly valued by potential employers.
  • Increased diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) program staff, and plans for DEIB program expansion. In addition to our Assistant Dean of DEIB, the school has added three full-time staff, each of whom will focus on a different stage of the student journey: the pre-collegiate experience, the KU Business student experience, and the alumni and career development experience. These new colleagues will help envision and create more opportunities for students from underrepresented populations and further foster an atmosphere of inclusivity.
  • Growth in student enrollment and in tenure track faculty hires. Implementation of our more flexible admissions policies has allowed more students to gain early entrance into the School of Business. This accelerates students’ engagement with academic advisors, Business Career Services, and co-curricular programs, with the goal of improving retention, academic progress and post-graduation outcomes. As enrollment grows, we continue to hire top-quality tenure track and non-tenure track faculty, ensuring our ability to deliver an innovative, comprehensive business education.

To advance our ongoing efforts, we ask you to support the KU School of Business with a gift today. Your philanthropy allows us to create new opportunities and meet emerging needs.

On behalf of all KU School of Business students, faculty and staff, thank you in advance for your support.

Student Spotlight:

The KU School of Business has provided me with so many opportunities to grow as a leader and a business professional. I have met dozens of employers, had a faculty and alumni mentor, and participated in student organizations that are important to me. These opportunities have allowed me to make lifelong friends and find my career path. I am proud to be a Jayhawk.” – AnnMarie G., Marketing & Business Administration 2022
