School of Pharmacy

Support the School of Pharmacy.

Your support strengthens the Jayhawk legacy!

The past year posed many challenges for our faculty, staff and students, yet we continue to find solutions to the needs of our community. While students in many schools and departments were learning remotely, KU School of Pharmacy students were able to remain on campus and in pharmacies, hospitals and practice sites throughout the state. They witnessed daily how important their role as pharmacists is during a global health crisis. We are proud of the many accomplishments and efforts of our school during the past year:

  • The KU School of Pharmacy’s Class of 2020 had a 99% first-time pass rate on the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination, the second-highest in the nation.
  • The Class of 2020 also scored an impressive 95% first-time pass rate on the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam.
  • Associate Dean Joe Heidrick was awarded the Steeples Service to Kansans Award by the KU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for his work delivering the COVID-19 vaccine across the state. He helped organize more than 50 COVID-19 vaccination clinics and recruited hundreds of volunteers.
  • Michael Wolfe, the Mathias P. Mertes Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, will serve as chair of the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Drug Discovery for the Nervous System (DDNS) Study Section at the institute’s Center for Scientific Review.

Increasing tuition and additional cuts to state funding pose significant barriers for our students. We are asking for your support to expand the educational opportunities for our students and help them manage the cost of a world-class education. Please consider making a gift today.

Your philanthropy will help ensure students do not turn away from KU because they cannot afford to attend. On behalf of our students, faculty and staff, thank you for your support.

Student Spotlight:

I am incredibly grateful to have earned scholarships through KU and the School of Pharmacy. They show me KU is invested in supporting their students in many ways, including financially, to help them reach their academic goals and be successful during school. Thank you!” - Angela B., Pharmacy 2019
