Support Student Research of Herpetology at KU!

Are you captivated by the power of scientific research and education to conserve our planet's unique biodiversity? Join us in making a real difference by supporting student researchers!

KU is a leader in the field of herpetology (the study of reptiles and amphibians). Internationally recognized for decades as a top destination for research and student training, we are now poised to become the fourth-largest specimen collection in the United States.

Supporting a diverse group of scholars from around the world has always been one of the most important aspects of our mission and one of our greatest challenges.

A newly established KU Herpetology Endowment has become critical to financially supporting our students and is already providing them with opportunities for intense collection-based research and training during the summer months.

Our goal this year is to raise $10,000 for student support. Thanks to a generous pledge from Kristen Johnson (Rafe’s aunt), we are already halfway there!

Let's unite to support and empower those who study our planet's incredible reptiles and amphibians and work to create a more sustainable and informed future.
