Dear Donors,

Thank you so much for your generous and heartfelt contributions to the Jimmy Gorman Memorial Law Scholarship.  With your help, we were able to raise $11,525 for the scholarship over the course of just one month!  That is more than double our initial goal of $5,000 and will help ensure that Jimmy’s legacy at KU Law lives on while at the same time helping future generations of Jayhawk lawyers achieve their dreams!

When we started planning the creation of this memorial scholarship we were hoping to raise a few hundred to a couple thousand dollars over the course of this month-long Launch KU campaign.  Maybe, if we were very lucky we thought, we would reach the overall goal of $5,000.  But when the campaign started we were blown away by the amount of support that we received.  It is truly a testament to the number of lives that Jimmy touched that so many of you were willing to contribute to this cause.

We are therefore extremely humbled and eternally grateful for the overwhelming amount of support that you have given to us and to this scholarship effort.  We cannot thank you enough.

Let me start by reiterating how grateful we are for the overwhelming level of support that Jimmy's scholarship has received over the last few weeks!  Because of your efforts, we have received donations from almost 70 different donors and have more than doubled our initial goal of $5,000!

As this initial campaign comes to a  close, we ask that you continue spreading the word about Jimmy's scholarship so that we can finish just as strong as we started.  With your help, we can provide support to future KU law students while at the same time honoring Jimmy's memory and legacy at KU Law!

Thank you to everyone that has donated so far!  Because of your incredible generosity and support we’ve already exceeded our initial goal of $5,000 and we couldn’t be more excited about doing so, particularly in such a short amount of time!  

However, we are not done yet!  We still have 28 days to fundraise in hopes of being able to eventually set the scholarship up as a trust that can continue for many years to come.

So thank you again for all of your hard work and your generous donations that have helped us get to where we are now!  Together we can ensure that Jimmy leaves a lasting legacy at KU Law in a way that can benefit future generations of Jayhawk lawyers.
