What a week it has been! With inclement weather over the past weeks much of our work was transitioned indoors. We have spent much time at the East Hills warehouse preparing our gabion supports and bending the steel required for the sign that will be placed on site. Finishing just in time to meet the concrete truck on site, we were joined by the crew from Midwest Concrete Materials (MCM) this past Monday who helped us to pour the concrete foundation for our curved form. Your support and donated materials are much appreciated, and we can't thank MCM and our project volunteers enough! As our concrete continues to dry and the rain continues to pour, we have now transitioned back to our studio at Marvin Hall where we are pouring the curved gabion wall tops and prepping for the final move to our site (Can you guess how many stones it takes to fill up our gabion wall???). There is still so much to be done and with our deadline in the near future, we need as much help as humanly possible.

We have officially moved to the site. If you have been following our updates, you have seen that in the last week we have started to develop our ground condition, prepping for the foundation to be poured. We have spent endless hours (on a few "cool" spring days), moving dirt, clearing rocks, and digging holes in preparation for our foundation to be poured. THAT DAY IS FINALLY HERE! Tomorrow with the help of Midwest Concrete Materials, we will pour the foundation for our form. 

In addition we have successfully produced all of the straight gabion wall concrete components and are progressing through the curves. Paver elements continue to be produced, and it looks as though they could possibly be moved to site sometime next week. We will keep you updated. It has been a time intensive last few weeks, but we are excited as our design concept, becomes a reality. We can't thank you enough for your generosity it truly has been beneficial.
