BIG NEWS

October 24, 2018

The V Foundation for Cancer Research has selected the recipient of the V Foundation Match for Cancer 2018 grant!

Congratulations, Guoqin Yu, PhD! Once KU Cancer Center’s portion of fundraising is complete ($50,000), The V Foundation, ESPN, the The Kansas City Chiefs and the Hunt Family Foundation will supply $150,000 for a total grant amount of $200,000 for Dr. Yu’s research efforts!

Due to lack of effective biomarkers, many gastric cancers are diagnosed at late stages. At this point, treatments can be ineffective. Dr. Yu’s research will focus on identifying potential novel biomarkers to improve prevention and treatment for gastric cancers.

To support junior researcher Guoquin Yu, PhD, and the KU Cancer Center in reaching their $50,000 fundraising goal, please make your tax-deductible donation before October 31 by visiting: www.launchku.org/Cancerchallenge2018

We need your help to raise $50,000 before October 31, 2018
