After five years on campus, the club golf team of the University of Kansas has been a great opportunity for students to continue playing the game they love. From beginners of the game to those with years of experience, our program has held a place for students of all skill levels. In addition to our recreational side, our competitive team has given our more experienced golfers a chance to continue competing at a high level. With many of our skilled golfers coming from years of high school experience, and some with prior aspirations of playing at the collegiate level, our team has created the perfect balance of academics and golf, creating a flexible atmosphere that has continued to satisfy all who have joined.
About the NCCGA
Thanks to the National Collegiate Club Golf Association, the governing body of club golf across the nation, our competitive team has been able to play in tournaments all over the region against universities such as Missouri, Missouri State, and St. Louis. Each fall and spring, a new location for the NCCGA National Championship as well as the National Invitational are selected, giving each team an ultimate goal to accomplish each season. Along with the competition itself, these experiences have created an unbreakable bond with our opponents, as well as a passion for the game and the school we represent.
Our Fall 2018 Achievements
So far, the fall 2018 season of Kansas Club Golf has been the most memorable season of club history. After years of drought as part of a very challenging central region, this years competitive team has finally defeated the odds. With the help of our first victory at Wolf Hollow Golf Club in St. Louis over the University of Missouri earlier this fall, we have been invited to play in the National Invitational, hosted by the Barefoot Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this November. Your donation will allow our top 8 players to travel to Myrtle Beach to fight for a national championship and continue our best season as a club.
Support the team by paying for the entry fee and golf costs for one player.
