Watkins Health Services would like to sincerely thank all of the donors to this project! Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated and will help us to better serve our students!
Stress and anxiety are the #1 and #2 (respectively) academic impediments experienced by KU students (National College Health Assessment, Spring 2015). Therapy dogs are extremely beneficial in reducing stress and anxiety in multiple ways. #Pause4Pups provides opportunities for students in residence halls to help with homesickness, loneliness, relationship difficulties, and more. Stress Busting Study Breaks provide opportunities for students studying in the libraries to take a break to refresh, refuel, and refocus. Therapy dogs are a positive and fun way to manage stress and anxiety. Call in the dogs!
Loving Paws significantly relies on many volunteers and their certified therapy dogs to provide services. Here are some of the volunteers and their beloved dogs, http://www.lovingpawstherapy.org/volunteers/. THANK YOU to all the volunteers that make time for providing services to KU students; furthermore, it is greatly appreciated! Bark on...

THANK YOU to the donors that have kick started our campaign! This campaign is so exciting for KU students with all the possibilities with the therapy dogs. Please share information about our campaign on your Facebook page, Twitter account, email, or any way you can. Thanks again for your support!
Loving Paws Animal Assisted Therapy Program provides services to Douglas County in a variety of settings. KU students are among the lucky ones to benefit from interaction with the therapy dogs. Here is short video about Loving Paws and how the dogs are involved in the community.
