Global Scholars Scholarships
We are seeking funds for scholarships to support study abroad for future Global Scholars. Study abroad is one of the most important ways in which Global Scholars can develop important cultural competencies in specific world regions as well as international awareness within their fields of study, and explore potential research topics. The Global Scholars Scholarship has been critical to making these trips possible.
Global Scholars alumni have reported back to us that their study abroad experience was one of the most important dimensions of the program, providing them with a foundation that was significant for their later development. As former Global Scholar Josh Dean (2010 Global Scholars Cohort), now an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, said of the program, “Global scholars provided me with my first opportunity to live in a middle-income country at a time when I was still trying to get my head around what being a development economist might be like. This initial experience confirmed my interest and sowed the seeds for some of my first research ideas. I am immensely grateful for those that made this possible.”
Please help us ensure that all Global Scholars will have a study abroad experience. Your contribution will go directly to a fund to support Global Scholars' study abroad.
