Rock Chalk Revue is an annual student-run philanthropy show in which student organizations write, produce, and perform original musical productions. Students start to plan and construct their shows in the summer months in preparation for the event which takes place in early April at KU’s Lied Center. Rock Chalk Revue is a cherished tradition at the University of Kansas, bringing students together to help support great causes and make positive impacts in the Lawrence community.

Since its inception in 1949, Rock Chalk Revue has contributed over $2,500,000 to various local charitable organizations. This year, Rock Chalk Revue is facing its biggest challenge yet with the COVID-19 pandemic. Even with many roadblocks, we are still determined and on track to have the most amazing production yet. This is because the 72nd annual show will be the first EVER to be turned into a movie and live-streamed online for not just students and local families to see like usual, but for alumni, relatives, and friends all over the country.

Production costs have risen this year but with your help, we will still be able to make a sizable contribution to The Dream Maker Fund. The Dream Maker Fund helps KU students with a short-term financial need. Many students encounter challenging times in their personal lives during college. The Dream Maker Fund attempts to make those challenging times a little easier by assisting with a piece of the financial burden they face by issuing a one-time fund. The Dream Maker Fund is looking to help a student that is down on their luck. Awards from this fund are typically limited to a maximum of $500, but due to COVID, we are hoping to increase this to $1,000 if our goal is met. This means we will be able to help upwards of 50 students in dire need during an extremely challenging time!
