Center for Entrepreneurship – KU School of Business

RedTire at the KU School of Business

RedTire’s mission is to help sustain the economic wellbeing of smaller Kansas communities.

The program helps businesses avoid shuttering by facilitating the ownership transfer of businesses providing essential community services from retiring business owners to Kansas Regents University graduates who possess the expertise to manage and grow those businesses and thereby employ more fellow Kansans. RedTire accomplishes this by matching businesses with appropriate replacement managers, providing financial analysis and valuations of the business, assisting in the purchase transaction and mentoring the new owners so that they succeed in their new business.

RedTire is currently helping over 100 businesses and since its inception about 34 months ago, RedTire has assisted in the sale and purchase of 24 businesses, thereby saving 201 jobs.
