Building a Greater KU

The University of Kansas is rooted in a foundation of excellence and driven by a vision to improve lives and benefit society, both in Kansas and beyond. Our efforts to prepare Jayhawks to lead and share their talents are made possible through donor support to the Greater KU Fund. Contributions to this fund spark developments that impact our world. Here are just a few examples of recent Jayhawk accomplishments:

  • Despite the pandemic, KU’s student enrollment has increased. The 2021 freshman class is the most academically talented in KU history with a record 3.66 average high school GPA, and the number of minority students is the highest on record.
  • A collaborative KU humanities project, “Stories for All,” received a grant to capture marginalized and suppressed histories and share them widely through digital media.
  • The National Institute on Aging renewed KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center’s national designation, making it one of only 33 in the U.S. The accompanying five-year grant will provide $15 million for the center.
  • A new species of fanged frog in the Philippines was discovered by KU researchers. The frog had been hiding in plain sight for years because it is visually similar to another species.

Please consider a gift to the Greater KU Fund to make the greatest difference for the Jayhawk community. Thank you for partnering with us as we prepare our Jayhawks for the future.
