Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting JayDoc Free Clinic. As a free and volunteer-run safety net clinic, JayDoc relies on the generous support of community members to continue to provide quality healthcare to those in need in the Greater Kansas City area. At JayDoc, we make it our mission to not only treat their acute condition, but to work with each patient to help them find long-term, affordable, and sustainable care within our community. This is not a goal we can achieve without the generosity of our community.
Medical care at JayDoc is provided by volunteer community physicians, who mentor and guide medical student volunteers in patient care and medical ethics. Clinic services include acute-care procedures, language interpretation, laboratory services as well as consultations for dietetics and pharmacy. Our clinic also has a community resource program that provides patients with referrals to specialty care clinics, other safety-net clinics, low-cost medication, legal assistance, and educational opportunities.
On Tuesdays, JayDoc provides specialty night clinics that operate on a rotating basis. Every other week our Women’s Health Initiative Program offers gynecological consultations giving expectant mothers the opportunity to receive free prenatal care in the metropolitan area. On alternating weeks, our Diabetes Clinic provides specialized patient care and health education for patients dealing with diabetes. Additionally, we offer ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, musculoskeletal, transgender, and radiology services one night a month.
For $25 our clinic can provide 1 complete blood count (CBC) or basic metabolic panel (BMP). These can provide important information about the health of a patients cells and their bodies metabolism.
For $50 our clinic can complete 1 glucose tolerance test or hemoglobin A1c. These are helpful diagnostic and disease monitoring tools for prediabetic/diabetic patients.
This amount can provide 3 comprehensive metabolic panels (CMP) that can provide information about a patients electrolytes, blood sugar, liver and kidneys or 1 HIV screening.
This donation would cover rent for 1 night at clinic, 2-3 STD screening tests, or 1 prenatal panel for expecting mothers.
