Theta Tau is the nation’s foremost professional engineering fraternity with chapters across the country and alumni all over the world. The purpose of Theta Tau is to develop and maintain a high standard of professional interest among its members, and to unite them in a strong bond of fraternal fellowship. The Zeta chapter here at KU boasts over 60 members from all disciplines of engineering.
This April, the Zeta chapter of Theta Tau will be traveling to Colorado Springs, Colorado for our TTT (Theta Tau Trip). This trip will consist of both professional development and community service opportunities for our brothers. A group of members will be attending a company tour at an Aerospace Engineering firm while the other members will be volunteering in Colorado Springs. This trip is representative of all three of our pillars, professional development, community service, and brotherhood. As a chapter, we believe in allowing all students to join and participate in events regardless of their financial situation. These funds would allow students to attend this trip who may not be able to otherwise.
Like an efficient machine, your donation helps us to keep our chapter thriving.
The original name for Theta Tau was The Society of Hammer and Tongs, but it was changed to Theta Tau at the national convention in 1911. Gifts of any size get us one step closer to our goal!
The three pillars of Zeta Theta Tau are Community Service, Brotherhood, and Professional Development. They guide the fraternity’s events and values.
The University of Kansas Zeta Chapter was the 5th chapter established nationally, and it is the oldest continually-operated chapter in the region.
The Zeta Chapter of Theta Tau has initiated over 1,200 members and has over 1,100 alumni across the United States. Your support will help us create lasting relationships among our members!
