Public Service Recognition Week

The School of Public Affairs and Administration is home to the #1 program in local government. We educate leaders to serve our communities. A hallmark of our School is our highly engaged alumni base that gives back to our students through: professional networking; providing paid internships; and speaking in classes, and mentoring.

We believe National Public Service Recognition Week is the perfect time to highlight careers in the public sector & the rewards of giving back to communities.

Meaningful practitioner and student integration is critically important and that is why we’re asking for your help. We are developing funds to be used for professional development opportunities for both Master of Urban Planning students and students enrolled in our undergraduate majors – public administration or law and society. These funds will be used for students to attend national and regional conferences, bring speakers to campus to share career knowledge, and other opportunities that advance careers in public service.

We hope you can join us by giving us any amount you can to help us get these funds started. If you are unable to give today, you can still help us by sharing the link with your personal network. Thank you for your support. We thank you and our students thank you. Rock Chalk.
