Society of Women Engineers- Evening with Industry

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a national and international organization that aims to provide a supportive community for female students in engineering and promote gender diversity and equality in STEM disciplines. We are dedicated to supporting and empowering women pursuing careers in engineering and related STEM fields, and we need your help to make our annual networking event, Evening with Industry, a success. By supporting Evening with Industry, you are helping us create a more inclusive and empowering future for women in STEM.

Some of our organizational activities include: 

Networking Events: We organize presentations, workshops, and meetings to connect students with fellow engineering students, faculty, and professionals in the field. Our annual Evening With Industry event brings together 30 employers and 200 students for a networking hour and a formal dinner with an inspiring keynote speaker.

Professional Development: We offer resources and opportunities for students to enhance their professional skills, including resume workshops, interview preparation, and career fair readiness events.

Outreach and Education: We inspire young girls to pursue STEM careers through workshops, mentorship programs, and community events, including an annual event with the Girl Scouts.

Support and Mentorship: Our mentorship program pairs upperclassmen with younger members to help them navigate their academic and career paths.

Advocacy: We advocate for gender equality and inclusivity within the university and the engineering industry.
