Thanks Leading Donors to the Centennial Production Fund

June 10, 2024

Thanks to alumni, Friends, faculty, staff, and patrons for your support of the Department of Theatre & Dance at the University of Kansas.

Your gift to the Centennial Production Fund supports the art we create and brings productions to life in perpetuity – all while keeping ticket prices accessible for years to come. Since 1923, more than 3,000 students have gained professional skills both on stage and behind the scenes. As they contribute to fully produced shows in our on-campus theatre spaces, they work with faculty and guest directors and choreographers, forging professional connections and honing industry skills.

Thank you for playing a lead role in this transformational Jayhawk experience.

Every dollar makes a difference in a project like this, so whether you gave $10 or $1,000, your contribution has lasting impacts on the future of KU Theatre & Dance and the students it serves.

We're Halfway There! Help Us Reach our Goal!

May 06, 2024

KU Theatre marked 100 years since its founding with a season that garnered enormous community buzz and attendance. Let's keep it going as we close out the academic year. Our Centennial Production Fund LaunchKU initiative has arrived at the mid-way point en route to our $30,000 goal. We're so close to unlocking the $5k Friends of Theatre & Dance (FROTH) challenge gift. Please help us get there. Celebrate our past and elevate our future. This fund will allow visiting guest artists from the coasts to engage with students and faculty on the hill, enable us to purchase state-of-the-art equipment, and provide the opportunity to produce new works, containing voices and themes relevant to our students, with first-class elements and execution.

It's a busy and sentimental time of year with Jayhawks flying the nest and participating in recognition ceremonies. Giving feels good, and that feeling has a lasting quality. This opportunity allows you to benefit future generations of creative Jayhawks who participate in our shows and keep the applause going for our students well into the future. It only takes a few minutes make a gift to the Centennial Production Fund or share the link, https://www.launchku.org/theatre100, on your social media profile. We appreciate your support for KU Theatre and Dance students ever so much!
