The University of Kansas Chamber Choir is embarking on another European Choir Competition adventure, after the resounding success in Greece in 2023. The destination this time is the historical city of Krakow in Poland, for the Cracovia Cantans International Choir Competition, to take place June 13-15, 2025.

KU Chamber Choir had the opportunity to travel to Greece in July of 2023 to compete at the Preveza International Choir Competition. The Choir came back with four prizes: 

• First Prize in the Mixed Choir Category
• First Prize in the Free Repertoire Category
• Special Prize for Best Programming
• Special Prize for Best Conductor 

At the Cracovia Cantans International Choir Competition, the KU Chamber Choir will compete in the Mixed Choir Category and in the Sacred Music Category, competing also for the Grand Prix. The international Jury includes prestigious choral experts, conductors and composers.
