Last week was an exciting week for the steel bridge team! In addition to the launching of our page, and after hours of hard work, we finished our cut sheets and have officially entered the fabrication stage of our bridge. We're so excited to share with you the success this year brings, however, we need your help in sending our hardworking team to the ASCE Student Conference in April!
While not seen from the outside, the sleeves in our bridge are essential for quick assembly . Gifts of any size are welcome to help hold our bridge together!
Although lateral bracing is one of the thinnest members of our bridge, we would fail without it. Every contribution is essential in helping us reach our goal.
Nuts are essential to keep our connections tight. With your help, we can bring our dedicated members to competition!
Bolts bring two members together; you can help unite our team with a contribution that will send us to both regionals and nationals.
Every year, we put a lot of thought into the design of our connections to achieve optimal fabrication time and stiffness. Your contribution can help us purchase a welder to allow all members to be hands-on in our fabrication process.
Steel is the most important material required to compete in the Steel Bridge Competition. With a contribution of $1000+, we will put the names of our most generous individual and corporate donors on the back of the t-shirts that we will be worn to the competition.
